Kosher Vineyard, Non-Kosher Visitors Center

Rabbi Rafi Yochai spoke to Arutz Sheva on Tuesday and warned readers about a problem regarding kashrut (Jewish dietary law) at vineyards. “There is a growing phenomenon in which, even if the vineyard itself has a kosher certificate, one must check if there is kosher certification for the restaurant and visitors center,” he said.

Rabbi Yochai also warned that the Bahat vineyard has lost its kosher certificate following a visit from a representative of the rabbinate’s kashrut division. “During an inspection non-kosher items were found, including non-kosher meat,” he said.
