The FBI has begun investigating an incident in which needles were found in sandwiches served on flights from Amsterdam to three United States cities. One passenger was hurt by a needle, but refused medical care.
The flights targeted were operated by Delta Air Lines. A spokesperson for the airline said managers had taken immediate action to “ensure the safety and quality of the food” served during flights, but did not give details.
