Hamas has executed three Gaza residents who were found guilty of murder. The three were judged in an Islamic court. Their victims’ families were given the chance to forgo the death sentence, but chose not to.

Since seizing power in Gaza, Hamas has restored the death penalty for several offenses, among them murder, adultery, drug smuggling, and assisting Israel in fighting terrorism.
