The World Zionist Organization has launched a project called "Antisemitism Red Email." Anyone who has experienced an anti-Jewish incident can fill out a simple online form and email it to the WZO's team of activists. The project was initiated by WZO's Department for Countering Antisemitism.
Yaakov Hagoel, the head of the department stated, “today we have to understand the importance of virtual communication. If an owner of a smartphone or tablet can denigrate Jews at a click of a button, then our answer is red email."
Eitan Ori Behar, director of the Center for Diaspora Communications, and Countering Antisemitism stated, “Antisemitism is a disease of the mind, a result of ignorance. Awareness and education can help to inoculate children against such hatred before it takes root.”
The new project has already elicited responses from Europe and other places. The WZO works with individuals and groups around the world in how to effectively deal with such incidents including training seminars and activism tactics.
