Jerusalem: 3-Hour Parking-Fee Limit at Selected Lots

At its last meeting, the Jerusalem city council approved a ceiling of three hours for the amount to be paid at certain large municipal parking lots, even if a motorist parks there all day.

Based on a rate of NIS 5.50 an hour, which may be updated in conjunction with national uniform parking rates, the three-hour ceiling of 16.50 shekels will be in effect at Jerusalem's train station (400 spaces), the former Schneller military base (100 spaces), Liberty Bell Park (100 spaces) and the industrial parking lot in Talpiot (150 spaces). Holders of the Jerusalem residents' card are eligible for an additional 20-percent discount.
