The Egged company stopped selling, as of Sunday, its well-known paper bus tickets and, effective immediately, passengers will only be able to purchase the new Rav-Kav smart card.
Egged, announced, however that all paper tickets that were purchased until Sunday will continue to be valid until December 31, 2012.
Rav-Kav is a smart card that contains passenger's personal information and details of the discount program for which the passenger is eligible. The Rav-Kav can be recharged on the bus with an appropriate payment package.
