Arabs set fire during Shabbat to a container belonging to the residents of Beit Hamachpela in Hevron, who were expelled from the house in April and have been living in a nearby tent ever since.
Shlomo Levinger, one of the residents of Beit Hamachpela, told Arutz Sheva that the residents have set up a protest encampment nearby, which is manned 24 hours a day. On Saturday, he said, the residents left for afternoon prayers when the container was lit on fire.
“We left for only five minutes and saw the container on fire,” he said. “A police car which was on the scene called an Arab fire truck, which arrived very late and took its time putting out the fire.”
