Yen, Euro Outpace Dollar

The offical value of the shekel rose an average of .213 percent, Friday, against most of the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.968, down .251 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro declined .202 percent to 4.8434 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.1297, down .311 percent, while 100 Japanese yen slipped .156 percent to 5.0069 shekels. The Canadian dollar rose .393 percent to 3.9036 shekels, while its Australian counterpart was fixed at NIS 4.0367, up .171 percent and the Norwegian Krone rose .245 percent to .6511 shekels.
