Amnesty to Bahrain: Allow Quiet Demonstrations

Amnesty International called on Bahrain's regime, Thursday, to allow peaceful demonstrations in the country, after the government banned a demonstration planned by the main political bloc in the kingdom.
A statement by Amnesty said: "Despite promises of reform and the guarantee of basic human rights, the authorities continue to violate the rights of freedom of expression, association and assembly, and have publicly announced that any gathering today would be illegal."
