State Control Committee Chairman MK Uri Ariel criticized on Thursday the foot dragging by the prosecution in establishing a body that will be charged with auditing it.
“The prosecution is already one month late in fulfilling its promise to appoint someone to head the auditing body,” Ariel told Arutz Sheva. “Unfortunately, for the past three years we have received many unfulfilled promises by the prosecution which is dragging its feet in establishing the audit body.”
He added, “The Justice Ministry’s decision today to establish the auditing body came following pressure and I hope that a body auditing the State Attorney's Office will be established shortly. The food dragging by the Ministry of Justice is incomprehensible and inappropriate.”
