The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses in mixed trading. The TA Composite Index closed at 964.91, down six tenths of a percent, while the TA 100 declined .62 percent to 972.83, including a .73 percent drop to 1,067.22 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The communications and media stocks led the gainers, rising eight tenths of a percent to 410.81, followed by the oil and gas index, which finished the day at 1,019.89, up .37, while the real estate issues closed at 257.46, up .19 percent. The bank stocks declined .23 percent to 870.63, as the financial institutions finished the day at 771.98, down .55 percent, including a 1.63 percent drop by the insurance index. The biomed issues closed at 723.84, down .61 percent, while the rest of the technology stocks slumped 1.73 to 338.73.
