Euro Down, Dollars Mixed, Yen Up

The official value of the shekel slipped an average of .004 percent, Thursday, in mixed trading against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.978, up .379 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro declined .117 percent to 4.8532 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.1488, down .311 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .272 percent to 5.0147 shekels. The South African rand fell 1.18 percent to .4772 shekels and the Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 4.0298, down .866 percent, while the Canadian dollar rose .008 percent to 3.8883 shekels.
