Major General Orna Barbivai, head of the IDF’s Manpower Directorate, spoke on Tuesday about the challenges facing the IDF in the near future. She made the comments during remarks at a ceremony in which outstanding soldiers were honored.

The IDF website quoted Barbivai as having said, “Regarding the threat of war, the General Staff has an understanding that a conflict may erupt in a number of fronts all at once, and also threaten the Israeli home front. When necessary, we will have to address the various fronts as well as the threat to the home front.”
