In the wake of the findings of the Levi Committee on Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria, residents of Migron protested outside the Knesset Monday afternoon, appealing to the government not to force residents to move and not to demolish buildings at the site. They were suppoted by MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union), who called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to leave Migron standing.
“If someone is accused of murder and the alleged victim is found alive and well, the court would certainly dismiss all charges,” Eldad said. “In light of the new circumstances it should be possible to leave Migron standing.” In the protest, Migron residents also demanded that the government include information on purchases of land in Migron when it makes its case on the site before the High Court on Wednesday.
