A Ramallah court sentenced a resident of the Jerusalem District village of Jip to eight years in prison on a conviction of selling land to Israelis, according to a Friday report by the Palestinian Authority's WAFA news agency. The court suspended three years of the sentence due to the illness of the defendant's daughter.

A Hevron Arab faces the death penalty for a similar offense.
