Treasury Denies Report about Ariel School Funding

The office of Finance Minister Yuval Steinitzvehemently denied, Friday morning,a reportin the "Haaretz" daily thatSteinitzpromised NIS100 millionto the Ariel UniversityCenterof Samaria ahead of its officially attaining university status.

The office said, in a statement, "No such amount nor anything similar was promised toArielUniversityin 2013and the subject did not evencame up." The statement continued,"At the same time, the Ministerof Financesupports making theArielCenter a university and if the caseis helped, a budgetarysolutionwill have tobe found."
