Report: Arafat Had Flu, Leukemia Complications

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Yasser Arafat had complications from flu and leukemia at the time of his death in 2004, according to a Friday report by editor Amir Rappaport of Israel Defense. While Arafat improved a little in France, doctors there performed a complete blood transfusion, which put Arafat into shock and a coma from which he would not come out. Regarding the Al-Jazeera report about evidence of poisoning, Rappaport called it an accumulation of information, some of which may be correct, but tainted with propaganda, in contrast with his information from sources with first-hand knowledge.
