Member of Knesset Alex Miller (Yisrael Beiteinu Paty) decried the decision of the Planning and Budgeting Council for Higher Education, to deny the Ariel University Center full university status. He called it "a first-class scandalous decision which points to capitulation for narrow political interests." He said he intended to fight against the decision. Ariel University Center is located in the Samaria region.
