Leaders of the “social protest” were criticized Tuesday for pulling their salaries from a charitable organization without informing donors. Channel 10 reported that the charitable group, set up by Dafni Leef, lists several of its goals – but salaries are not among them.
The report noted that it is legal and even standard for part of charitable groups’ funds to be used for salaries. However, as “social protest” organizers previously volunteered their time, in this case the switch to salaried positions may come as a surprise to those who gave of their money.
