      Hydrochloric Acid Pipeline Bursts South of 'Ein Yahav


      A pipeline carrying hydrochloric acid burst, Monday, at a facility south of 'Ein Yahav, in the northen Arava area, near the Jordanian border, south of the Dead Sea. Paramedics from the Magen David Adom emergency service reported five people who apparently were seriously injured and unconscious. Helicopters and intensive-care personnel were summoned to the scene, as were environmental protection personnel.

      Highway 90 was closed in both directions.
