Report: Infiltration Cut by More than Half in June

Infiltration into Israel was reduced by more than 54 percent in June, according to figures by the Interior Ministry's Population and Immigration Authority, cited Monday morning by the Yisrael Hayom daily, which says 928 infiltrators were registered on the Egyptian border, compared to 2,031 during the month of May. Since the beginning of the year, 9,572 infiltrators have been recorded.

Most of those registered in June were from Eritrea and Sudan. Almost no residents of South Sudan were among those recorded.
