An experimentcarried outin recent monthsin theKerem Shalomarea crowned the technological developmentas a success. It was at the Kerem Shalom base where a tunnel was used, six years ago, to stage the terror raid that resulted in the abduction of soldier Gilad Shalit and the murder of soldiers Hanan Barak and Pavel Slutzker. IDF sources saythat this is areliablesystemthat is notcharacterized byfalsealertsandis expectedto givea full responseto the tunnels.
