The funeral for former Prime Minister Yitchak Shamir will be held Monday at 6 PM. Shamir will be interred on Mt. Herzl, in a section reserved for prime ministers and other top officials of the country. Shamir's bier will lie in state in the Knesset Monday between 10 AM and 4 PM, in order to allow Israelis to pay their last respects.

Family members, along with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, President Shimon Peres, and others are expected to speak.
