The official value of the shekel slipped an average of .053 percent, Friday, in mixed trading against the other currencies featured on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.923, down .482 percent, while the Euro rose .645 percent to 4.9319 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.1347, up .015, while 100 Japanese yen fell .763 percent to 4.9271 shekels. The Swedish Krona rose 1.023 percent to NIS .5627, followed by the South African rand, which was fixed at .4715 shekels, up .877 percent, and the Norwegian Krone, which rose .816 percent to NIS .6545. The Australian dollar was set at NIS 3.9899, up .631 percent, while the Canadian dollar dropped .321 percent to 3.8253 shekels.
