Egypt Cannot be Turned into a Muslim Brotherhood State

Egyptian President-elect Mohammed Morsi said, Thursday, that it's impossible to turn the country into a state that advocates the path of the Muslim Brotherhood party he represents.

In a meeting with editors of local newspapers, Morsi said that Egypt will maintain its national character without being controlled by a particular political faction. Asked if his policy was that of the Muslim Brotherhood, he said, "It's not true. The Muslim Brotherhood is my passion but not my policy."
