Israeli academics who plan to boycott Ariel University Center are giving legitimacy to international boycotts targeting their own schools, MK Alex Miller (Yisrael Beiteinu) warned Wednesday.

“If this is how they fight a worthy institution’s upgrade to ‘university,’ we will make sure their budgets suffer,” he added. “I plan to ask the Knesset speaker to hold an urgent meeting of the Education Committee next week, and in addition, I will work to establish a lobby for the upgrade of the Ariel University Center to a regular university.”
