Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday that Iran should be allowed to join the countries that will hold discussions on the situation in Syria this weekend.

According to Lavrov, “Iran must be invited.” He added that if Iranian officials do not take part in talks “then those who really can affect all the parties in Syria will not be present.”
