Big Lebowski Festival Scheduled for Jerusalem

Jerusalem's Talpiot bowling alley will host it's second annual Lebowski Fest. Participants are urged to dress up as characters from the 1998 film The Big Lebowski, of which many scenes take place in a bowling alley. One character from the movie often mentions his Jewishness, quotes Theodor Herzl, and states that he "doesn't "roll on Shabbos" because it's the day of rest.

Eliyahu Sidikman, a vocalist for the band Long Time Gone will be organizing the event. His band will play cover songs from the 1960s as featured in the movie. The event will take place Thursday June 28th at the Lev Talpiot bowling alley in Jerusalem.
