Education Minister Gid'on Sa'ar criticized social justic protesters, Monday, during the dedication of 12 new classrooms in the Judean Jewish community of Tekoa'. Referring to excesses by demonstrators, Saturday evening, in Tel Aviv, Sa'ar said, "Israeli democracy has all the tools to express legitimate protest from all the tools enabling democracy - freedom of expression, demonstration and assembly. Whoever attempts to describe a different situation is not painting a true picture."
He continued, "Protest should be strictly within the law - There is no person, no group of people and no outlook that justifies violating the law. Even an illegal demonstration is violating the law. It is certainly true of blocking roads and property damage. No group of people is authorized to take the liberty to do that."
