The Ministerial Committee on Legislation and the cabinet endorsed, Sunday, a bill by Chairman Uri Ariel of the Knesset State Control Committee to allow the state comptroller to submit reports up to three months after the end of his term.
Ariel said, "We musttake care to maintainthe status ofthe auditinstitutionandenablethe comptroller to completefinalreportsjust like judges.In the coming dayswe will complete thelegislative processandwe canallow the auditor tocomplete a number of reportsthat are almost finished."
