Argentina and Brazil have recalled their ambassadors to Paraguay, after accusing the country's parliament of a coup against Fernando Lugo. Lugo was thrown out of office after a surprise and lightning-quick vote, over his mishandling of recent protests by farmers.
Frederico Franco, the new president, said that he would ask Lugo for his help in setting up the new government, and in convincing Paraguay's neighbors that the impeachment was legal. Early Sunday, Argentina announced it would return its ambassador to the country.
