Dollars Mixed, Euro Down

The official value of the shekel slipped an average of .042 percent, Friday, in mixed trading against the other currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.905, up .774 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro declined .504 percent to 4.8941 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 6.0995 shekels, up .227 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .333 percent to NIS 4.8582. The South African rand fell 1.187 percent to .466 shekels, while the Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.9122, down .914 percent, and the Canadian dollar slumped .357 percent to NIS 3.7944.
