Syria: Pilot's a Traitor - Return the Plane

The Syrian Defense Ministry announced, Thursday, that after it became clear that pilot Hassan Mirel al-Hamadeh had indeed defected to Jordan, "The Department of Defensesees him asa pilotwho is fleeingfrom his military serviceandbetraying his countryandits militaryhonor." The ministry said it would punish him to the extent of military law and that it was in talks with Jordanian authorities for the return of the plane.
