Deputy Prime Minister Shaul Mofaz called on Wednesday for tougher sanctions on Iran. Speaking following his meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Mofaz said, “After the failure of the third round of talks between Tehran and the world powers, it is time that the United States and other Western countries impose severe economic sanctions on Iran in order to stop its nuclear program.”
During his meeting with Clinton, Mofaz said that the unity government Kadima recently formed with Prime Minister Netanyahu creates a window of opportunity to promote the peace process.
