Forces from the Hamas controlled Gaza region shot three more rockets into Israel on Wednesday evening. The rockets hit an open area of the Eshkol Regional Council. There were no physical injuries or property damage reported.
The Gaza region was part of Israel until the 1993 Oslo Accords which began the process of the transfer of power into the hands of the Palestinian Authority. The 2005 Disengagement from Gaza removed all Israeli civilian and military presence from Gaza. Hamas gained control of the region in 2007.
