MK Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) said Wednesday that the government’s attempts to alleviate the housing shortage through various laws and tax breaks have failed. “The government needs to go back to the old policy of helping young couples, giving subsidized mortgages, putting its hand in its pocket,” he said.
“A country facing a desperate situation like this simply must change policy,” he urged. He accused the Budget Branch of playing a major role in the failure to implement solutions.
