MK Zevulun Orlev (Jewish Home) reacted Wednesday to the deal reached between the government and residents of Beit El’s Ulpana neighborhood. The best solution would have been the Regulation Bill, he said, which would have left the homes standing and provided the Palestinian Authority Arab who claims ownership of the land with financial compensation if he could prove his claims.
“However, since the Prime Minister and ministers from Likud and Yisrael Beiteinu voted down the bill, there is no choice but to respect the path of agreement even if the eviction is highly immoral,” he said.
