600 from South Sudan Apply for Voluntary Deportation

The Interior Ministry's Population and Immigration Authority has opened additional places in the southern cities of Arad and Eilat where residents of South Sudan can register for voluntary deportation, which includes a free plane ride home, vaccinations and money to help them get by. The additional locations are in response to increased interest in the program. About 600 applications have been filed and 500 citizens of South Sudan are waiting for the next flight.

Forty illegal aliens were arrested Monday.
