Work Resumes on Sinai Border Barrier

The Defense Ministry resumed work, Tuesday morning, on the barrier designed to prevent infiltrations via Israel's border with Egypt. The work was suspended on Monday, following the terror attack that took the life of ministry contractor Said Fashfasha.

The decision to proceed followed a security assessment. Brigadier General Eran Ofir, who is in charge of the project, reported to ministry leaders that contractors and workers, incuding heavy equipment operators were briefed and working in hundreds of sites where the barrier is being built.
