Obama and Putin Meet in Mexico

U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Monday on the sidelines of the G20 Conference in Mexico. It was their first meeting since Putin was elected Russian president.

Obama said after the meeting that he is sure that the “tensions” between the two powers can be resolved. Putin said that he and Obama found “many points of agreement” regarding Syria.
