MK Uri Ariel (National Union) on Sunday urged the State Comptroller to investigate the sources of financing of Arab parties. In a letter to retired State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss, who is issuing this year's report to be released Wednesday, Ariel said that there were strong suspicions that Israeli Arab parties received funding from the Palestinian Authority.

“In recent days there have been reports that PA chief Mahmoud Abbas is funding Arab parties in the Knesset,”Ariel wrote. “I hereby request that you investigate these allegations,” he added.
