Member of Knesset Aryeh Eldad(National Union) said, Thursday, thatthe establishment ofa ministerial committeeon Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria is "part ofthe payment"to right-wingministerswho voted recently against a law intended to protect families in the Ulpana neighborhood of the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Beit El from being uprooted under a Supreme Court order.Eldad said, "Those who passtheheadlinestageandcometo the powersof the committeeunderstand that [Prime Minister Binyamin]Netanyahuis againblowing sandin the eyes ofthose who are faithful to the land of Israel."
Referring to Ehud Barak, Eldad continued, "The powers of the defenseminister, who is an enemyof the settlemententerprise, were not curtailedand onlyhe canapproveconstructionorplanningin Judea and Samaria (Shomron)."
