The Government is expected to approve the establishment of a Ministerial Committee for Settlement Affairs led by the PM during its Sunday session. The Committee will be authorized to present government policy pertaining to legalization of construction on private and State land, including on fundamental issues that will reach the Courts. The Committee decisions will have the validity of undisputable government decisions.
Other members of the Committee will include Defense Minister Ehud Barak, FM Avigdor Lieberman, and Ministers Rabbi Prof Daniel Hershkowitz, Shaul Mofaz, Eli Yishai, Moshe Ye’elon, Benny Begin, Yuli Edelstein, Gideon Saar and Gilad Erdan.
