Most of the featured indices at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange showed moderate losses at the beginning of trading on Tuesday. A few minutes into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 983.78, down .56 percent, while the TA 100 declined six tenths of a percent to 990.63, including a .49 percent drop by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The only stocks to rise were the oil and natural gas stocks, which rose .13 percent to 1,140.35, while most of the technology index slumped 1.49 percent to 334.06 and the biomed issues stood at 730.49, down .67 percent. The communications and media stocks declined three quarters of a percent to 460.97, and the insurance index stood at 976.38, down .53 percent, as the financial institutions slipped .09 percent to 845.20, including a .04 percent decline to 904.66 by the bank issues. The real-estate stocks stood at 275.79, down .21 percent.
