On the eve of President Shim'on Peres's trip to Washington, DC to receive the United States Medal of Freedom, Effie Lahav, who manages the struggle for the release of Jonathan Pollard, said, Thursday, that Peres will talk about justice and not about the law when he repeats Israel's request to free Pollard. Pollard is serving a life sentence for passing classified information from the U.S. to Israel.

Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service, Lahav said, "I am arealistanda realistis allowed to andshoulddream. I have akindofinner feelingthat the dreamthat Jonathanwill be out is really drawing close, and ifnot itisa nota simpleblow to take, butwe will neverstopour effortsuntilJonathan is out, in his homein Jerusalem."
