The annual cherry picking festival will be held in Kibbutz Rosh Tzurim in the Gush Etzion region of Judea on Friday June 15th. The event attracts people from all over Israel to pick their own cherries in the orchards. Children's events , jeep tours, wine and cheese tasting and other events will occur as well. The community is said to be located in ancient Beth Zechariah, which plays a major role in the one of the battles of Judah Maccabee. In addition to cherry orchards, kibbutz raises turkeys, produces milk and grows grapes.
