State Comptroller to Probe Ulpana Issue

State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss will probe the State Prosecution’s behavior regarding the Ulpana neighborhood of Beit El. The investigation was requested by the State Control committee headed by MK Uri Ariel (Ichud Leumi).

Ariel said attorneys with the State Prosecution who appeared before the committee failed to explain why they had agreed to demolish homes in Beit El despite legal precedent that would have allowed the homes to remain standing, thus protecting the rights of the homeowners.
