30 Hunger Strikers in Protest Tent

The number of hunger strikers in the protest tent between the Knesset and the Supreme Court reached 30 on Monday. The residents of the tent are protesting the threatened uprooting of five homes in the Ulpana neighborhood of the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Beit El and urging support of legislation intended to remove the threat.

Employees of the local council in the Samarian Jewish community of Kedumim waived a recreational outing in northern Israel and directed their bus to the protest tent. Students and rabbis from the Sha'albim yeshiva also came to the tent to express their support for the demands of the hunger strikers.
