Egyptian Presidential Candidates Meet on Mubarak

Egyptian presidential candidate Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood party met, Monday, with first-round losers Abdel Moneim Abul-Fotouh and Hamdeen Sabahi to discuss demands of demonstrators in Cairo's Tahrir Square, following the life sentence given to former president Hosni Mubarak, Saturday, on a conviction for his part in the deaths of hundreds of demonstrators before he stepped down at the beginning of January 2011, according to the Al-Masri Al-Yaum daily.

Among other things, the three discussed the possibility of a new trial. Egyptian prosecutors said, Sunday, they would appeal the sentence, adding they seek the death penalty for Mubarak.
