Protest March from Ulpana Neighborhood to Knesset

A march in protest of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's intent to uproot five homes in the Ulpana neighborhood of the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Beit El will set off for the Knesset at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The two-day march is scheduled to make it to the protest tent between the Knesset and the Supreme Court, which ordered the uprooting, on Wednesday, when the Knesset is scheduled to vote on legislation that could save the homes and others like them in Judea and Samaria. Among the stops are the communities of Giv'at Assaf and Migron, which have homes in a similar predicament.

At a Sunday-evening meeting, Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein told Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu that an in-depth discussion had to be held on relocating the uprooted homes in the Ulpana neighborhood to a nearby army base, saying it was intended for military and not civilian uses.
